Welcome back to my blog, it's been quite a minute since I've written. I still have a lot I want to do with this blog so I promise it will not go to waste! But in the meantime, check this mad katsu-hell update!
Currently, I've been working on my Dreamin' Iris Yayoi cosplay from Idolm@ster and I'm chugging along on it. It's been quite an intimidating costume due to not only the fabrics involved but the weird design only meant for the 2D world... Which we're replicating... Because we've obviously lost our minds.
oh looks simple...
no but the amazing cosplayers
behind this group make it look easy!
But I really love the design and the group, so here I am sewing and sewing and sewing and CAREFULLY Ironing and sewing some more... I've never made jewelry for a costume, so that's a first... It will also be my first time doing a pleated circle skirt and adding horsehair braid to a skirt! That's not all my "firsts" but, it's a few of the more standout ones...
I find that I'm always sewing costumes with "first experiences" lately... And I'm using patterns and changing my needles for different fabric and learning about alternate presser foots.... What's happening!?
All in all, I'm beyond excited to get finished sewing and get up to Katsucon for a con weekend of fun. I hope to meet a lot of new people~!
Andddd once I get back, I can begin to do some manga and anime reviews like I've been wanting to do for this blog! Before that, I need to learn 2 or 3 more dances for Seishuncon, too, because Danzoo→Dash is holding the first performance of the year at Seishuncon this year! (Regrettably I could not make it to Kamicon!)
Please look forward to seeing our cute zoo perform more dance covers for you!

I am wearing at Katsucon!
Sleep tight!
